Eyjar Fishing Lodge in Breiðdalsvík, nestled in the picturesque Breiddalur Valley of East Iceland, offered a secluded haven with stunning valley views. the lodge boasts a hot tub, sauna, and a cozy guest lounge where we soaked in the peaceful ambiance. the wood-floored rooms were charming, though a tad small, and the lodge's fish-themed decor added a quirky touch. Despite the distance from the main road, the drive was a scenic delight, unveiling nature's beauty at every turn. the lodge's social vibe encouraged mingling in the main living area, perfect for larger groups or busy seasons. the on-site restaurant was a plus, though dinners required advance notice. Although the TV didn't cooperate, the breathtaking Northern Lights would have made up for it. For those seeking outdoor adventures, horse riding and fishing opportunities abound nearby. Overall, Eyjar Fishing Lodge charms with its unique setting and warm hospitality, making it a memorable retreat in the rugged Icelandic landscapes.
